San Antonio & Fredericksburg

  3 Days 2 full hot breakfest  $298 pp   Feb. 17, March 2

This is a very interesting tour showing the main points of Texas History and sites. Your guide Helen Myers is a Texan Historian, her family tree dates back to 1821 (before the Alamo.) Believe me she really knows how to make these three days to remember

Day 1:Leaving early for San Antonio there will be a shortstop in Falfurrias. After lunch in San Antonio we will visit San Francisco de la Espada built in 1731 the southernmost of the San Antonio missions and San Juan Capistrano built in 1731. Before continuing our touring we will check into our Hotel to freshen up a little before visiting San Antonio de Valero, built in 1718. Now! it's time for the River Walk where a ride down the "Drunken Old Man" will be waiting (included.) You will have many places to choose from for your dinner at the River Center Area.

Day 2: Without a doubt one of the highlights of the tour is our visit to Fredericksburg. Home of many German families that arrived in Texas during the mid 1800's. Our unforgettable visit to Admiral Charles Nimitz Museum where you will explore the Japanese Garden of Peace, Pacific War History exhibit on three floors. Here World War II as told by veterans, visit the Plaza of Presidents and George Bush Gallery of the Pacific War. Exploring the Pioneer Museum Complex and visiting the first homes built by these sturdy Germans, give you a little more understanding of the struggles these first settlers had in this primitive hill county of Texas. Shopping is always fun in Fredericksburg, unique only area, gift items that hard to find will complete our day in Historical Fredericksburg. Returning to San Antonio for the night.

Day 3: We will start our day off with a visit to Nuestra Señora de la Purisima Concepcion build in 1731. This Mission is the oldest unrestored mission in the United States. Sunday services will be held at the most beautiful "Queen of the Mission's" San Jose. Come with us into the past, walk the paths of Father Margil, Father Olivares, Father Hidalgo and the many others who shaped Texas History. Returning home early evening.
