Home                                Real de Catorce & Cd. Valles

5 Days 4 Nights
2 Nights in Real de Catorce & 2 Nights in Cd. Valles  with 4 meals
Combining two of our most popular tours to make one great visit to Mexico.

Day 1: Leave the Valley early, you will soon be passing through the third largest industrial city, Monterrey. Your drive will take you through mountains, by apple orchards and of course lots of different kinds of cactus as you reach the road taking us to Real de Catorce. Mystery and magic surround one of the most visited places in the State of San Luis Potosi. From the moment one ascends through the Sierra, the spectacle, with its extraordinary views over the valley, are of great beauty. Night in Real de Catorce.

Day 2: Learn the story of the “Catorce” 14 bandits and the once thriving city of 20,000 people, the gold mine that gave out, and the descendants of those who chose to stay in

this ghost town repetitive. After an exploring day we will relax at the hotel in Real de Catorce for a night of sweet dreams. Optional horse-back riding to other ruins. Night in Real de Catorce.
Day 3:
After breakfast we will leave our ghost town for the semitropical city of Valles with it’s waterfalls, rivers, birds and beautiful countryside. Our hotel is located downtown where you can enjoy a little walk and shopping. Night in Cd. Valles
Day 4:  Today, a special treat awaits you as we experience the beauty of Xilitla, a small old village where you will explore the fantastic, and at the same time strange construction of Sir. Edward James’ Castle. Walking through this area takes you back in time to a world of magic and adventure.
One of the main characteristics of this area is the

presence of Náhuatl and Teneek indigenous peoples. The Náhutal people represent 60% of the indigenous population of the entire Huasteca Potosina. The indigenous population living in Xilitla and its communities is almost completely Náhuatl and most are bilingual in both Nahuatl and Spanish. The people consume a wide variety of fruits and vegetables native to the region, such as mangoes, avocado, bananas and corn. Returning to our hotel after a great day of visiting some very interesting places. Night in Cd. Valles
Day 5:   This tour will leave you with many wonderful memories of two lovely and yet so different of each other places. Returning home through Victoria, arriving late afternoon.
