Day 3: Monte Alban, it consists of an immense plaza, bounded by four large ceremonial platforms and more than 200 tombs. Mitla Ruins, subterranean tombs where the stone walls of the temple are covered with geometric patterns resembling frozen lace.

Day 4: Leave Oaxaca, early to Tuxtla Gutierrez, a drive through beautiful mountain country.

Day 5: Today our boat ride through the world renown Sumidero Canyon will place you on the river with surrounding cliffs as tall as 1000 ft.
Night in San Cristobal de las Casas. Breakfast.
Day 6: A visit to San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, where
they continue to preserve their Mayan religious customs. We will visit
the beautiful Agua Azul water falls on our way to Palenque, located at
the foot of the Sierra Madre and almost hidden in the jungle. It is one
of the most impressive Mayan ruins and marks the beginning of what has
come to be known as the Maya World, where people still hold onto their
ancient traditions. Night in Palenque Breakfast
Day 7: Today we will tour the ruins of Palenque before
continuing to Campeche. Campeche once known as a pirate ridden zone. In
order to protect the people from pirate raids, forts were built around
the city. The remains of these forts still give the city an ancient and
mystical look. Night in Campeche. Breakfast
Day 8: After a tour of Campeche, we leave for
Uxmal. At night we will see the spectacular light and sound show
included. Night in Uxmal. Breakfast
Day 9: This morning we will tour the ruins of Uxmal, a
spectacular ancient Mayan city where you will admire the Soothsayer’s
Palace, the Nunnery and the beautiful Quadrangle.
Merida for the night. Breakfast
Day 10: Today you will tour one of the largest Mayan
sites Chichen-Itza. It is also where a sacrificial pool is found. In
ancient times, maidens would be thrown in the pool covered with jewels
and gold to appease the great Chac-mol, god of
water. Night in Merida. Breakfast
Day 11: Today we board our return flight to Monterrey
and busing back to the Valley. Breakfast
