A big new ATTRACTION!

"Teuchitlán"

For you to better know each city we have made arrangements with hotels located downtown.

"The Pearl of the West" is the affectionate name that the local residents have for Mexico's second largest city, Guadalajara. Located in the west-central part of the country in the state of Jalisco,
the beautiful Colonial city of Guadalajara sits on a high plateau more than 5,000 feet above sea level. The city was founded in 1542 by the Spanish conquistador, Nuno de Guzman. Even today, the downtown area of Guadalajara is filled with charming Colonial buildings dating from the 1600's.
Day 1: After departing the Rio Grande Valley, relax and enjoy a journey into the heart of Mexico. Admire the beauty of Monterrey and Saltillo before arriving in the beautiful colonial city of Zacatecas that evening. Your tour director will point out and explain the Bufa Mountain. Overnight in Zacatecas. Welcome cocktail.

Day 2: Guadalajara, city of roses, semitropical with a beautiful climate to live in. The birthplace of Mariachi Music and main producer of Tequila. You will have an opportunity to visit the downtown market. Free evening.  There will be an optional dinner show for your entertainment. Night in Guadalajara.

Day 3: We will pass fields of sugar cane and blue agave plantations, as we drive to Tequila town to visit one of the tequila factories where you will experience first hand how this drink is made.  Afterwards, on to one of Jalisco's newest and most admired tourist attractions the archeological site of "Teuchitlán"  The site is over 2,000 years old, and the architectural style is unique to the region, and one of a kind in the world. The discovery of circular structures named Guachimontones has caused great admiration and created a new scope and expectation towards the outlook and research of one of the first civilizations in the whole Mesoamerica.  The archeological site of “Los Guachimontones" seems to be the parting point of this forgotten link in Western Mexican cultures.
After getting back to the hotel and freshening up you may want to go for a stroll around the main plaza. Feel the history as you admire and enjoy the colonial city.
Day 4:  Starting with a historical downtown tour of the Government building, Theater and other interesting sites.  Then on our way to the well known Lake Chapala region of Mexico, with its wonderful climate and large base of ex-patriot residents. Has become a very desirable place for retirees, those wanting to escape aspects of "Home" (such as the winter weather), and those who desire to live and work in Mexico.  After returning to our hotel you will have time for more shopping and strolling the downtown area.  Night in Guadalajara.
Day 5: Today you are off to the legendary San Luis Potosí, an old mining town established in 1546. Upon arriving to SLP we will be able to starch our legs with a little walking tour of the downtown historical area.   Overnight in San Luis Potosí downtown hotel Panorama. Welcome cocktail, Special Show
