Day 1: Depart the Rio Grande Valley relax and enjoy a journey into the heart of Mexico. Admire the beauty of Monterrey and Saltillo before arriving in the beautiful colonial city of Zacatecas that evening. Your tour director will point out and explain the Bufa Mountain. Overnight in Zacatecas.

Day 2: City tour of Zacatecas. On your way to Guanajuato, you will pass through the wine and grape state of Aguascalientes. Guanajuato named Heritage of Humanity, is considered the epitome of colonial architecture; so prepare yourself for a wonderful day of sightseeing. You will stroll down the cobblestone streets and alleys filled with tales from the past. Downtown will offer you an insight of what life was like in 17th century, filled with legends, history and romance. Overnight in Guanajuato.

Day 3: We start our day with a visit to La Valenciana silver mine. Continue to Zitácuaro a small town close to the mountain where the butterfly sanctuary is, here you will spend the night before your adventure into butterflies country the next morning.

Day 4: Early in the morning, you will be boarding your transportation that will take you to the heart of the butterflies' sanctuary. Today will be unforgettable as you are welcomed by an aerial ballet of soaring wings alighting gently on tree limbs, shrubs and even your hair. With the memory of thousands of wings, you will continue to Pátzcuaro for the night.

Day 5: Pátzcuaro, Santa Clara del Cobre (Copper Town) and Quiroga. As we travel today you will appreciate the peaceful calmness of the waters of Lake Pátzcuaro, complemented

by the green of the surrounding mountains covered with pines. Today, will offer you the opportunity of shopping for the quaintest copper trinkets and wood crafts. Pátzcuaro is home of the Tarascan Indians. Take time to stroll down the streets of this town and experience the tranquility of ancient Mexico. The red tile roofs upon white walls lend the city a uniform beauty. Overnight in Pátzcuaro.
 
Day 6: Leaving Pátzcuaro you will continue to San Miguel de Allende, the second largest American & Canadian retirement city in Mexico. This is a very beautiful and clean city, there will be time to tour the downtown area. Along the streets you will feel the bohemian atmosphere of San Miguel de Allende.Overnight in San Miguel.

 Day 7: Today we leave for San Luis Potosi, another very nice colonial city. Our hotel is located at the main square so you will be able to enjoy your downtown walking tour. Overnight in San Luis Potosi. Welcome cocktail.

Day 8: Bid farewell to Mexico as you commence your drive back to the Valley. Breakfast.
